MEMBERSHIP in the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association is doctors, individuals and groups working together within their disciplines to expand and promote the knowledge and acceptance of animal chiropractic to their professions, the public and governments; locally, nationally and internationally, within the Standards, Bylaws and Code of Ethics set forth by the AVCA.

The purpose of the Association is to provide public educational, social, credentialing, and professional services to the animal chiropractic community and the community at large.  Specific objectives of the Association shall include:

  • Promotion of the science, art, and philosophy of animal chiropractic;

  • Promotion of informative and courteous relations between professional colleagues of both chiropractic and veterinary fields;

  • Informing the public of the value of animal chiropractic as a health science;

  • Developing and promoting a standard of education in animal chiropractic by means of an accreditation program for institutions offering animal chiropractic programs;

  • Developing and promoting standards of animal chiropractic care by means of a professional certification program and a Code of Ethics for practitioners; and

  • Performing all acts which the Association is empowered to conduct for the protection and advancement of its members.

Professional Certified Member: $200.00.  A licensed doctor of chiropractic or of veterinary medicine who is a current* ACCC/AVCA certified doctor. This is a full membership with voting privileges.

* ACCC/AVCA Certification must be current.

Doctor Associate Member:  $300.00. A doctor of chiropractic or of veterinary medicine, not ACCC/AVCA certified. Non-voting membership.  Receives newsletter and association correspondence.

Non-Doctor Associate Member: $100.00.  Ethical person, business, firm or association, who is not a graduate doctor of veterinary medicine or graduate doctor of chiropractic, but who has a personal or professional interest in animal chiropractic, whose interests are in accord with the principles and objectives of the AVCA, and who is in good standing with other animal clubs, organizations, and associations.  Non-voting membership.  Receives newsletter and association correspondence.
