Serving as
an association leader is both an honor and a reward, but it
requires a demonstrated commitment to the organization and its
mission and goals. Participating fully in association
activities requires extra time to prepare for travel and attend
meetings. Leadership requires knowledge, talent, skill, vitality
and the ability to make a difference. In the association
environment, that translates into a solid track record of
contributing to the success of programs, events or projects.
Many people contribute their efforts toward the realization of
an association’s goals and objectives – no one does it alone.
Well developed interpersonal and communication skills are
essential to effective teamwork.
If you are a qualified candidate or you know of another AVCA
professional member with leadership potential, please consider
completing a Call for Leadership Nominations form. Board
Director, President Elect, Secretary-Treasurer. Submission
Deadline June 4, 2010.

Patient Memorial Donations
Remember your patients with a
memorial contribution to the AVCA. There is a Contribution
Form available on the
Forms page.
When a memorial contribution is received, your clients are
mailed a notification letter that you have made a monetary
contribution in memory of their pet/animal. You are mailed a letter
of receipt and acknowledgement of your contribution.
There are many other ways to support the AVCA
with monetary contributions. One of our doctors makes
a regular automatic payment of an animal adjusting fee
mailed to the AVCA each month. Donations can be a
one-time contribution of any amount, or a annual, bi-annual,
quarterly contribution.
We acknowledge and thank all
of you who contribute to the AVCA.
We want to recognize these
doctors who support the AVCA with regular patient memorial
contributions, or regular monthly donations of an animal adjusting
fee. These doctors have quietly given back to the
profession with these monetary donations for several years.
Thank you Dr. Nina Caires
(NY), Dr. Jacqueline Doval (TX) and Dr. Bill Ormston (TX).
The AVCA is a
501 c6. Contributions are not deductible as a charitable
contribution, but may be deductible as a business expense. |
